Operational!
After sitting for 3 almost 4 years, my GLI once again is roadworthy. It set me back $2,700 to make it happen, but I have a brand-new (not rebuilt) German 2Y/9A Close Ratio 5 Speed. Trans-axle, new Catalytic Converter, new Intake and Throttle Body Boots, New Sparks, A Good Smog Certificate and a bunch of Happy Fans...

New 020 2Y 5-Speed Trans-axle - $1200 Check
Air Intake Boot Replacement Check
Throttle Body Intake Boot Replacement Check
Check and Change and Brittle Vacuum Lines
Flush and Bleed Brakes (Only needed to replace the rear pads)
Oil Change - $100 Check
Smog Test - $60 Check
New Catalytic Converter Check
New Sparks Check
Labor & Tech Fees Check

*Re-build head with new Hydrolic Lifters, Ti Valve Retainers and HiPo Valve Springs to reduce Valve Float at high Revs.
*Replace or repair Head unit due to connection issue with faceplate.
*Put on Frame Puller and re-align Frame
*Have Rear-Quarter Panel Dents Pulled and smoothed.
*Replace front right fender and side marker.
*MKII '92 Body Kit - Front and Rear
*Re-Spray Color and Clear
*Rebuild Sun Roof
*Reinstall Head Liner
*Replace Fuba Amped 16v Antenna Gasket
*Change out Front Frill to 4 Hella Rally Lamp Setup - Badgeless
*Have Driver's seat refilled with insulation on left bolster and repaired
*Re-Mount Enclosure Box for Dual Sealed 10in Rockford Fosgates in Trunk
*Replace PIAA Fog Lamps
*Respray Windshield Wipers with Gloss Black
*Replace Windshield Sprayer System
